Small bike. Big deal. Is it the first truly capable small ADV? Or just another half-hearted effort, carefully designed not to offend bigger siblings? [Details below]

You're personal branding is epic. Rarely have I found anyone or any product so very well-branded and uniquely.... UNIQUE. Ad agencies spend years (and companies' big bucks) to get an image or lifestyle firmly planted in the brain cells of their target consumer. And as la cerise sur le sundae the video dropped on my birthday in my 2nd most favorite part of the world (a VERY TIGHT 2nd to good old MTL!) on a bike that flashes my favorite color: orange. You knocked it right outta the ballpark with this clip. To call you a tease would be a gross understatement! Although I'm late to this party, the content is no less pertinent. Thanks for making it look so easy. There's the REAL talent! Keep on trucking...errr....biking Ryan! P.S.: noticed the Quebec plate! Never forget your roots! 🤣🤣🤣

KTM might consider a competitor for the '21 KLX 300 I just bought. I have owned many KTM dirt bikes since 2014, and love then, but until the recent shortening of some Husky dirt bikes (.4"?), they are all 38" seat height, and sometimes overkill for easy rides. The KLX 300 is well suspended, reliable, 35" at the seat, and has plenty of motor for easy trail rides & gravel roads. Watch 'em sell at $56-5800USD.

Good video w/Good production value and I like the honesty of the verdict at the end. Once you start pandering to the producers to get free swag then usually the viewers can sniff out the phoniness and will leave your channel in droves. KTM tried to take the 390 Duke and throw some plastic doodads on it to lure the entry level adventure riders in and failed miserably. Entry level riders in this small displacement category should look at a used Suzuki DR, Yamaha WR or XT or even TW and even a Kawasaki KLX would be a good choice. Perhaps a Honda CRF or a CB500X and gradually build it w/Rally Raid parts? There are too many competitors in this segment for KTM to put out a half assed Indian built effort and think you’re going to fool anyone.

On the KTM website, it says that the ground clearance is 200 mm. But I was looking around and found the even Suzuki v-storm has 170 mm of clearance. Are these bikes not suitable for off-road? Which under 500 cc bike would you guys recommend for that?
Parijat
Parijat Prieš mėn
@Hyper Sarcastic Avocado KLR is not available in my country. Only issue with KTM is the way it looks. :(. I see what they were trying to do but wouldn’t call that a success.
Hyper Sarcastic Avocado
Hyper Sarcastic Avocado Prieš mėn
@Parijat The Honda CB500X has 180 mm clearance and has a bit more torque. But the KTM seems pretty good. Would it be too hard to go up to a larger bike? The KLR 650 seems really cool and is a tiny bit more expensive than the 390

How does this compare with the BMW G 310 GS? Also would this be an ideal bike to go to after a Yamaha WR 125 X? My main concern is weight really, 168KG vs my 137KG sounds really great, and ground clearance looks on par too. Love your videos brother, you have completely opened up my eyes and really helped my confidence on the road. Thank you for inspiring us all! 👍🏻
